STILL OLDER NEWS

10 Mar 2004: Hey, folks. I'm gonna start releasing on Thursdays instead of Wednesdays. The #1 reason for this is that I'm running out of time with my schedule picking up right now. Plus, I need to give my arms and hands a break. Right now I'm not going to put out a request for magical helper elves, but I might in the future, especially if I end up with less time than I think I'll have. I appreciate everyone's offers, though, and keep sending those messages of support. You rock! (PS, Sorry, yes that means "Listen Up" will be posted tomorrow.)

6 Mar 2004: "The L Word" will air in Australia later this month on Channel 7!! Congratulations! Here's an article about the ruckus being whipped up by local delusional freaktards: Anger over gay drama... I've seen the air date advertised variously as March 23 and March 24, at 9:30 or 10:30pm, so check your tv guide. Hey, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to visit Channel 7's website and drop them a POLITE, appreciative, affirming, short, thank-you note to tell them you support them and are happy they're bringing you this fine, fine piece of entertainment.

4 Mar 2004: The transcript for "L'Ennui" is finally up. HUGE thanks go out to Colette for transcribing the last 15 minutes of dialogue for me. You rock! Colette and I have struck up a plan for her to help me with some of the dialogue transcription for the rest of the season. This'll hopefully mean no more (or fewer) delays in getting the transcripts up. Also, thanks to Taci for allowing me to use part of her translation of "Un Año de Amor" by Luz Casal. And as usual, props to Kiach and "she who will remain nameless" (you know who you are) for the always dependable French and Italian translations.

1 Mar 2004: The promo and preview clips for "Listen Up" have been added. I've kind of come down with a bug or something... so bear with me as I work on this week's transcript. It will most likely be delayed, so send vibes to get me better because I feel like crap on a stick.

26 Feb 2004: Par-tay! "The L Word" is coming to the UK! Living TV wins bidding war for new US lesbian drama - Short bit from the article says, "The drama, much acclaimed by US critics, was also a target of the BBC, ITV and Channel 4. But Living TV won the bidding war - paying £2 million for exclusive rights, reports The Times." :)

25 Feb 2004: The transcript for "Losing It" is now up.

22 Feb 2004: Promo and preview clip transcripts up for "L'Ennui".

21 Feb 2004: Hi everyone. I'm going to be adding a coupla few promos today, so come back later. Also, I feel the need to say something. A lot of people are making subtitles for the show in their native language. I think that's fantastic. However, if you are going to take my transcripts and translate them into your language, and then make subtitles, I would ask two things: 1) You let me know. I like knowing how helpful any of this stuff I'm doing has been. Heck, I might even offer to host your translation here. 2) You give me credit for the original transcript. That's all, and I'd really hope it isn't too much to ask considering what you're getting out of them. That's all. M'kay. - From sho.com: Chat live with Eric Mabius February 22nd immediately following the episode. Omigod, omigod, omigod! I'll be the fangirl at the chat asking dorky questions about Resident Evil. Okay, who else is a fan of RE? Is that not like a fantastic piece of brain candy or what? An underground city, angry chicks with guns, genetic engineering, a homicidal computer ... and zombies! It's perfection, perfection, I tell you! MUHAHAHA... okay. See you at the chat.

19 Feb 2004: The transcript for "Lawfully" is now up.

17 Feb 2004: I dunno that I'll have the transcript up by tomorrow night. I had an emergency dentist thing today and had a molar pulled (yes, it hurts, I'm a total wuss), so, I'll work on getting it posted on Thursday night. Sorry!

14 Feb 2004: Well, the new site is up - email me and tell me whatcha think. I'd love to know. Later on I'll also be adding some promo transcripts and the preview transcripts for tomorrow's ep, and if I have time, a couple banners/buttons so you can link to me graphically if you so desire.

14 Feb 2004: Happy You-Know-What-Day. Today, Showtime will run a nifty marathon of all the eps up til now, plus "The L Word Defined." Check the schedule for info. From sho.com: Chat live with Leisha Hailey February 15th immediately following the episode. That's tomorrow. I'm so excited!! - Today, I'ma be working on the site, I'm so behind on it.

12 Feb 2004: The transcript for "Lies, Lies, Lies" is now up. I've been getting way behind in some other transcripts I want to put up. Just running out of free time to do this stuff. With any luck, I'll catch up on that and some other things this weekend.

9 Feb 2004: I won't have the transcript up for "Lies, Lies, Lies" (this week's ep) until Thursday, because my VCR freaked and ate the tape, which means I can't check a few things until I see the closed-captioning when the ep re-airs late Wednesday night. Sigh.

8 Feb 2004: From sho.com: Chat live with Pam Grier February 8th immediately following the episode. Site updates: Ran out of time to get the new site up, but it's done. Just have to get everything moved over and uploaded. I also didn't have time to get to the transcript for the promo that was seen after last week's ep, but I promise I'll have that up ASAP too. I also checked all the episode transcripts for errors, and corrected a bunch of stuff. Nothing huge. - I also changed the numbering system of the episodes. Before, I used 2 ep numbers for the Pilot (1x01/1x02) because several shows, when they have double-length pilot eps, call the pilot two episodes instead of one. But for now, I'm just calling it one, for simplicity's sake. See you guys at the chat!

5 Feb 2004: I thought it was worth mentioning that I'll be breaking 10,000 visitors today! That's basically in a month, which is about 9,800 more visitors than I thought I'd have in a month. :-) To everyone who's visiting, and lending their help, and taking time to email me: Thanks!

4 Feb 2004: The transcript for "Longing" is now up. This weekend I hope to get some time to do some cleaning up behind the scenes, which includes error-checking and (hopefully... if all goes well and I don't run out of time) a bit of a nicer site design.

2 Feb 2004: Added the transcripts for the 2 preview clips for "Lies, Lies, Lies" up at sho.com. I'll be working on the episode transcript for the next couple days and hope to have it uploaded by Wednesday night.

1 Feb 2004: Two things: if you see a transcript error, please take a moment to let me know. There's a cookie in it for you! Second thing: It takes quite a long time to do one transcript - several hours. I'll do my best to have the transcripts up by Wednesday evenings, because I know you guys are looking forward to them. See you guys in the Mia Kirschner chat tonight!

31 Jan 2004: From sho.com: Chat live with Mia Kirshner ("Jenny Schecter") February 1st immediately following the episode. Unfortunately, I don't think chat is available to fans living on the west coast of the U.S. You can check out the official chat transcripts, though, at Sho.com. - Also, later today I'll be putting up a couple ep preview transcripts and tooling around behind the scenes here. - And I really appreciate all the thank yous, guys, keep 'em coming! :)

29 Jan 2004: YEEEAAHH!! "The L Word" has been renewed for a second season!! Renewal of the series represents the fastest renewal, ever, for Showtime Networks, Inc. After only two episodes aired, the second season was picked up and the suits are very excited in the show's future promise. Read more. Yayayay!

27 Jan 2004: The transcript for the third episode, "Let's Do It," is now up.

24 Jan 2004: From sho.com: Chat live with Laurel Holloman January 25th immediately following the episode. I participated in the chat with Jennifer Beals, right after the premiere last Sunday, and had a good time. Showtime didn't expect the phenomenal response they got, and the turnout ended up crashing their chat servers for about half an hour! Guess this show is pretty popular, huh? :) Hope to see everyone at the Laurel Holloman chat!

22 Jan 2004: Added a transcript for the 2 episode clips for 1x03 "Let's Do It" up at sho.com. Also added a link (at the top of this page) so you can email me.

22 Jan 2004: Check back later this evening, I'll be adding cast/crew info for the pilot and hopefully some transcripts for the clips up at Showtime's site.

21 Jan 2004: Pilot transcript now up.

20 Jan 2004: Yes! The pilot transcript is done! Now, barring freakish accidents with the office shredder tomorrow in which I lose all my fingers, it'll be up in the evening, once I get home from work and get it coded. The coding should only take about an hour. It will be up tomorrow evening. Next transcript will be up a little sooner, since the ep will be only half as long.

19 Jan 2004: Happy MLK Day! Okay, I'm half done with the transcript for the first ep. So if you're getting impatient, please chill, I'm workin' on it. :) I've had lots of people bothering me today and have had to get up and leave for hours at a time, so I'm not getting anywhere fast. I thought I'd have it up tonight, but I probably won't. I'll be workin' on it diligently, though, I promise, and it won't be very much longer.

15 Jan 2004: Added the transcript for the Jennifer Beals and Pam Grier appearance on the U.S. talk show The View today. Tonight, Mia Kerschner will be on the U.S. talk show Late Late with Craig Kilborn. I'll have that transcript up pdq.

9 Jan 2004: Added the transcripts for the short preview clips ("So Gay!" etc.) at Showtime's site. Fixed some format stuff here and there.

5 Jan 2004: Added the transcript for "Teaser 1" at Showtime's site. Will add the transcript for "Teaser 2" and the full length preview later today. Time permitting, I also intend on adding transcripts from some of the audio-only interviews at Showtime's site.

3 Jan 2004: "The L Word" should be shown Spring 2004 in western Canada on The Movie Network; and possibly in Australia on SBS (which airs "Queer As Folk"). No announcements have been made about the show being picked up in the UK or elsewhere.

3 Jan 2004: The L Word TV Transcript site is open! Added the first transcript, for "The L Word: Defined."
