OLDER NEWS

16 Apr 2004 #2: The finale transcript - 1x13 "Limb from Limb" - is up. I hope you guys enjoy this episode as much as I did. -- Over the coming days and weeks, I'll be going back and tidying up behind the scenes, adding transcripts for old promos and previews and interviews that I didn't have time to get to, so drop by from time to time to see what's new. -- I sincerely appreciate everyone's support throughout the season. It really made doing this worthwhile. -- Season 2 begins filming in Vancouver in June. The Season 1 DVD set will be released in November. Season 2 will begin airing in January 2005. It'll be a long 9 months!

16 Apr 2004: The finale'll be posted by 7pm Central time, if not sooner!

15 Apr 2004: The final transcript will either be posted late tonight (Thursday, Central Time, US) or tomorrow afternoon. Wish I could be more specific. I'll work hard to get it late tonight, but if it doesn't show up, it'll definitely be here tomorrow.

14 Apr 2004: Okay, I'm pressing for a Thursday night post date but it may be as late as Friday for the finale. If you've already seen the finale, I'd love to hear your views on it, so drop me an email.

12 Apr 2004 12:19 AM: IT'S OVER, FOLKS! I won't spoil anyone, but I will say that the season finale will knock your socks off. Wow, what an amazing, really thought-provoking, beautiful, difficult, exciting and at times absolutely hilarious trip this has been. Go read Scribe Grrl's recap over at AfterEllen.com, it'll be posted sometime later today and I'm sure it'll be worth it. -- I will work very hard to have the finale transcript posted as soon as I can. I will work to get it done by Thursday, but I have a busy week so it may be Friday or even Saturday again. I'll update as I know more.

10 Apr 2004: Barring any unforseen adventures, the transcript for "Locked Up" will be posted by 5 PM Central Time, which is in about 3 hours. Sorry for the long delay but it was inevitable as I was very busy and my volunteer transcribers were busy. Next week's transcript will be delayed as well, but since it's the finale I'll be working extra hard to get it done. -- From sho.com: Chat live with The L Word Creator and Executive Producer Ilene Chaiken April 11 immediately following the episode. I'm so excited!!

3 Apr 2004: We're in the home stretch for the final episodes of what's been a fantastic first season of this amazing show. This show has met and surpassed many of the high expectations I'd had from before it even started, and I'm quite pleased to have been a part of the fandom in such a huge capacity. It's been faaabulous. I'm not sure I want the season to be over so quickly, but my hands could sure use a break. ;) -- I've got a bunch of stuff going on in the next 2 weeks and as such, unfortunately, cannot promise that the transcripts will make it up by Thursday night. It could be Friday or even Saturday. But I will be working steadily on them, even a little harder because it's the final eps and I know several of you can't get the show until it's out on DVD so you come here in the meantime. So, hang in there, be patient, rest assured they'll be up as soon as possible.

1 Apr 2004: The transcript for 1x11 "Looking Back" is up. -- I'm having arm/hand problems, so until the season is over, I'm just focusing on getting the transcripts out and anything else (like previews, etc.) will come later, while the show's in summer hiatus. -- From sho.com: Chat live with Erin Daniels April 4 immediately following the episode. I'll be there, geekin' out.

31 Mar 2004: There's a 50/50 chance the transcript won't be posted tomorrow until either extremely late, or even as late as Friday afternoon. My apologies, but I'm still trying to get it ready by tomorrow. -- I'm going to break 50,000 visitors in the next several hours. Thanks to everyone who's visited and helped and taken the time to email and say thanks. You rock. :)

27 Mar 2004: Greetings! I am now hosted at Cellophanesun.com - check it out. I'm looking forward to spreading out in my new digs. -- Hey, we're about to hit 50,000 visitors! Whooie! I can hardly believe it. Thanks to everyone who's given me a hand along the way, this effort couldn't have survived without you. If I could, I would bake you all chocolate chip cookies.

25 Mar 2004: The transcript for 1x10 "Liberally" is up. -- This weekend I'm moving to my new host! Thanks a ton to Annie at cellophanesun.com for her generous offer. The URL will stay the same - www.thelwordsite.tk and I will keep this site mirrored at its present home (thelwordsite.tripod.com) and occasionally update it.

21 Mar 2004: Added preview clips for both 1x10 "Liberally" (tonight's ep) and 1x11 "Looking Back" (next Sunday's ep). I'll be adding a site FAQ later. -- If you want to help transcribe, check out the 13 Mar entry on the old news page for more info, and email me for more details. -- Someone has graciously offered to host me for free (HUGE thanks to you!) so there's a good chance you might see some additions to the site in the weeks to come, such as a few video clips from each episode. -- From sho.com: Chat live with Katherine Moennig March 21st immediately following the episode. I am so there.

18 Mar 2004: The transcript for "Luck, Next Time" has been posted. Thanks to my helper, Megan, for her work in transcribing a part of the dialogue for me. I've also added the credits for "Listen Up" and tomorrow/over the weekend I'll be adding the promos and preview cilps that I should've added a few days ago but didn't have time to.

14 Mar 2004: Hey folks. ProHosting shut me down overnight, I have no idea why (I get around 1,000 visitors a day... maybe that's it), so now we're at Tripod. For now. You can reach me by my referrer at www.thelwordsite.tk or you can use thelwordsite.tripod.com - both come here. If you find any dead links, email me, please. -- In other news, see the news below.

13 Mar 2004: Wanted: Magical Helper Elves! Apply within for a transcribing position. The positions are on a week-by-week basis only, for 10 minute segments of dialogue only. What you need: Familiarity with English, a copy of the ep, a text editing program (like Notepad or Word), and a burning desire to work under a crushing deadline. What you get: Props for your hard work on this here fancy-lookin' website, the fulfillment of making a real contribution to "The L Word" fandom, and my immense gratitude. If you're interested, send me an email (link to the right) and I'll give you all the gory details. Please only email me if you're serious.

11 Mar 2004: Transcript for "Listen Up" has been posted. -- I finally got a shorter URL for you folks to use: http://www.thelwordsite.tk. The other URL is still the same (earth.prohosting.com/blah blah blah), and you can use it or the other to get here. Btw, if the popup bothers you, go here and download the Google toolbar. The Google toolbar is NOT a toolbar in the traditional spyware-bloatware-gonna crap your computer up-sense, so quit making that funny face. It's only actually what it says it is.
