EAGERLY AWAITED DEBUT EP RELEASED JULY 24
The buzz and anticipation around Uh Huh Her's debut EP began the
night Leisha Hailey and Camila Grey met in a Los Angeles County
holding pen. Leisha Hailey had been in a bar fight (and won) and
Camila Grey had been caught bicycling drunk (again). That night
decided they wanted to play music together.
You may already know Leisha as an actress (from the hit Showtime
series The L Word) or perhaps from her previous musical endeavors
(THE MURMURS, then Gush). Leisha attended The American Academy of
Dramatic Arts in New York, where she met her MURMURS partner. They
played together for a dozen or so years and were signed with MCA
Records. When they disbanded, Leisha concentrated on her acting
again, but has missed music and is raring to go.
Camila, who produced this EP herself, attended Suzuki music school
and Berklee College of Music. When she moved to Los Angeles she
became a session vocalist at (then) Media Ventures, co-owned by
Hans Zimmer. She is credited on the soundtracks to Something's Gotta
Give and Nip/Tuck, and also worked on Catwoman and Dirty Dancing:
Havana Nights (un-credited). Cam has worked with Dr. Dre, Kelly
Osbourne, Melissa Auf Der Maur, Busta Rhymes, Tricky, and is a member
of Mellowdrone.
Now the duo is ready to introduce the first taste of their creation
UH HUH HER. This 5-song ep is the first step in the unveiling. UH
HUH HER will go back into the studio this fall to finish the complete
album, slated for a mid spring 2008 release. Watch for key show
dates in LA to be announced soon!
