LOS ANGELES, May 2, 2006 – Sarah Shahi (THE L WORD & Teachers) stars in the comedy/drama The Adventures of Beatle Boyin.  Shahi plays Carmen de la Pica Morales on Showtime Network’s The L Word and is doing double duty on NBC’s Teachers.  Shahi’s other film credits include A Lot Like Love, Old School, and Dr T and the Women.  In The Adventures of Beatle Boyin, Shahi plays Carla, a stripper/hooker that Beatle Boyin employs once a week as her “human” contact, well that and her psychiatrist! 

The plot of the movie centers on Beatle Boyin played by Michele Hicks (Heist & The Shield) as a woman whose business cards read “towing/assassination.”  Boyin is a no-fuss, beautiful loner who has been working on a hit-man infomercial when she meets Athena, a suicidal woman played by Ever Carradine (Commander in Chief & Grey’s Anatomy).  The situation becomes dicey when Boyin learns that she and Athena are being chased by a homicidal killer thanks to Athena’s ex.  The two women strike up a bargain where Athena makes Beatle Boyin the beneficiary of her life insurance policy in exchange for her execution.  In the meantime, as they wait for the paperwork to process, Boyin provides room and board for Athena for her assistance with her dead end infomercial.  Through the movie the two women fall in love and begin to question what their future has in store for them.

The Adventures of Beatle Boyin is written and directed by Donna Robinson. Boyin marks Robinson’s directorial debut.  The movie also stars Orlando Jones (Drumline & MAD TV) as Dr. Vanderark and Tony Shalhoub (Monk & Galaxy Quest).  The Adventures of Beatle Boyin is still in production with no release date announced as of yet.
