Sunday night after the Brotherhood episode, Showtime aired its first the L Word promo of the fourth season.  Using the theme of “4”, for the 4th season, the promo focused on “” four things you need to know about the new season of The L Word”. The teaser gives a brief glimpse of the main characters and introduces us to the “new friends,” “new rivals,” “new loves,” and one “returning flame.”

The clip starts with the show name and logo and moves to dialogged, “There’s (sic) only four things you need to know…” while showing images of the characters Tina (Laurel Holloman), Kit (Pam Grier), and Helena (Rachel Shelley), “about the new season of The L Word.”

The image of Alice (Leisha Hailey) flashes by as the voice over announces, “There will be new friends.” The image of Cybil Shepherd follows the first of the “four” new things. The images switch to Moira (Daniela Sea) then Shane (Katherine Moenning), both dressed in men’s suits and ties.

The second new thing, the voice over announces is, “There will be new rivals.” Images of the new character, Papi (see spoilers), and then Bette (Jennifer Beals) are displayed.

“New loves,” the voice over continues, is the third new thing we need to know. Images of Marlee Matlin are shown.

Pictures of Jenny bridge Marlee Matlin images to pictures of Marina (Karina Lombard). The voice over announces when the Marina pictures are shown, “And one returning flame.”

The clip concludes with “The L Word Season 4, Coming 2007.”
