With the beginning of the fourth season of The L Word, the cast members continue
making their appearances at different throughout the country.
Ilene Chaiken, Leisha Hailey and Kate Moennig, went to Park
City, Utah to the Sundance festival 2007. Janina Gavanker
was celebrated at Curve Magazine's party in LA on March 3.
As the show and its cast are getting nominated for various
awards, the cast members are also scheduled to appear at several
award ceremonies in the near future.

Dinah Shore Weekend
On Saturday, March 31 Kate Moennig, Leisha Hailey and Ilene Chaiken
will appear at the Doral Hotel Ballroom during the upcoming Dinah
Shore Weekend and will also offer up the chance for attendees to
perform scenes from the popular series on stage. This year the Club
Skirts and Planet Out will also introduce the full fashion show
with ‘L’ements of Style Fashion Line.
SLDN’s 15th Annual National Dinner and Silent Auction
This year, SLDN’s national dinner will honor The L Word for
an upcoming storyline related to “Don’t Ask, Don’t
Tell.” Cast members from the show, along with series creator
Ilene Chaiken, will accept the award on the program’s behalf.
This event will be held in Washington, DC on March 24.
GLAAD Media Awards
The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation has announced which
films and TV shows have been nominated in their 18th Annual Media
Awards. Just like the last year, The L Word has been nominated in
the Outstanding Drama Series category.
The GLAAD Media Awards ceremonies will be held in New York on March
26, 2007 at the Marriott Marquis; in Los Angeles on April 14 at
the Kodak Theatre; in San Francisco on April 28 at the Westin St.
Francis; and in South Florida on May 10 at the JW Marriott Miami.
For the third consecutive year, the awards will be televised on
Logo, MTV Networks’ cable channel for lesbian, gay, bisexual,
transgender viewers.
2007 NAMIC Vision Awards
National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC)
is the only celebration recognizing the cable industry’s commitment
to quality, original programming that reflects the world’s
rich, multi-ethnic populace.
They announced their nominations on January 23 for 37 networks
in 15 categories for the outstanding achievements in original, multi-ethnic
cable programming. Showtime Networks leads with 9 nominations, including
Jennifer Beals as Bette Porter for the Best Actress in Drama Series.
Among other nominees for the same category are Lauren Velez in Dexter
(Showtime), Gina Ravera in The Closer (TNT), CCH Pounder in The
Shield (FX) and Gwendoline Yeo in Broken Trail (AMC).
The 2007 NAMIC presentation is scheduled for March 27, 2007 at
the Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills, California.
