The 37th NAACP Image Awards has nominated Pam Grier for Outstanding
Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. This is the second year she
has received this nomination for her role as Kit Porter on "The
L Word." Also nominated this year were:
- Aisha Tyler - "24" (FOX)
- Chandra Wilson - "Grey's Anatomy" (ABC)
- Kerry Washington - "Boston Legal" (ABC)
- S. Epatha Merkerson - "Law & Order" (NBC)
In 2004, Grier was nominated for the NAACP Image Award in this
category for her role in "Law and Order: SVU" (NBC).
The NAACP Image Awards celebrates the outstanding achievements
and performances of people of color in literature, television, motion
pictures, and recording arts. The 37th NAACP Image Awards will be
presented February 25, 2006 at the Shrine Auditorium in Beverly
Hills, California. The awards ceremony will air March 3 (8:00 -
10:00 p.m. ET/PT) on FOX.
