| BREAKING NEWS!!! - Season 4 Premiere Date Moved! |
L-word.com has learned that the date for the Season 4 Premiere of THE L WORD premiere has been pushed up to January 7 at 10 p.m.
Over the past few months, several dates were published in the online press as the premiere date, most recently dates in the month of March. The past three seasons of the show all premiered in January, so fans were quite disappointed with the news that Season 4 would be started two months later than expected.
L-word.com has not yet learned the official reason for the move.
Season 3 was not well-received by fans of the show on L-word.com. Many fans voiced complaints of the death of Dana, one of the most liked characters, and the sudden change in temperament of Tina, another favorite. The breaking up of the lead couple of the show, Bette and Tina, spurred many angry postings and letters to L-word.com, particularly since Tina left her long term lesbian relationship for a relationship with a man.
Season 4 boasts some high profile cast additions, including Cybill Shepherd and Marlee Matlin. Speculation as to whether one or both might be romantic interests for the Bette character have made their way across the discussion board. The two episode return of Season 1 heartthrob Karina Lombard as Marina has also spurred interest in Season 4.
As L-word.com learns more, we’ll share the news with you.

Comments: did anyone actually buy season 3...it was probably the saddest season of television i have ever seen and so many characters to a weird turn. with erin gone i don't think i'll be watching season 4. alice is so great but without dana to play off of i just don't think it'll be the same funny, sweet show

Comments: I bought Season 3! I love Dana, she was/is my favorite character, and even though she dies in that season, I wanted all of the episodes she was in. Plus I still love the L Word, no matter what! It is still a series for lesbians, and I still love most of the characters (except Tina, Jenny and Max). Shane, Carmen, Bette, Lara and Alice keep me watching!

Comments: Season 3 was my favorite and I fell in love with Alexandra Hedison. I think the Dylan/Helena storyline did not go far enough.I admire Ilene and the gang for making the show something that I, as a lesbian and a human being can relate to. As in real life, friends die, some people we don't care for, others we wish they were by our side always.

Comments: I really love this show, and yeah i think it was kind of dumb to kill Dana and for Tina and Bette to break-up. All three where main characters and they have now totally changed. I do have high hopes for season 4, just as long as they keep Shane in this, they'll keep my interest.....

Comments: I loved Dana too but i think it was great writing in life we lose people and if a show don't put that in, it would be unrealistic and we would all get very bored of seeing these people with perfect life's.

Comments: As much as i love dana, I have to agree that the decision to kill her off was very effective. As many others have said: it is more realistic, and emotional, for people to lose their best friends in life. Especially, in this case, long before they get a chance to fulfill their lives. Also, I like that IC decided on Dana since she is a tennis player (and thus very active and focused on her physical health) to prove that even the most health-concious and undeserving people do get breast cancer, and do die from it. this season devestated me.
