LOS ANGELES, June 12, 2006 – Katherine Moening is set to star in the small independent film titled Dead Girl’s Diary. Moening, who has been acting since she was 10 years old, is currently best known as her role of woman loving hairstylist Shane McCutheon on the Showtime Network’s popular lesbian series The L Word.
The plot of Dead Girl’s Diary centers around a young girl named Sara played by Katharine Isabelle (Freddy vs. Jason & Bones), who apparently does a bad job at picking her new boyfriends. Her recent catch brings with him on one of their dates a mysterious book that turns out to his dead ex-girlfriend’s diary.
Soon Sarah and her two best friends Chloe played by Katherine Moening (The L Word & ArtSchool Confidential), and Maddy played by Vinessa Shaw (Eyes Wide Shut & Corky Ramano), decide to take the diary and make copies for themselves. Things start turning upside down and inside out as the dead girl starts influencing their lives in ways they never expected.
Dead Girl’s Diary is based on a play of the same name written by the film’s screenwriter Amy Hedish (Dark Blue) and will be directed by Jamie Neese. There is not a huge amount of information out about the production of the film as it is still “in development” with no anticipated release date as of yet. |
