RHODE ISLAND, June 25, 2006 - In season 1 of the Showtime Network’s series The L Word, fans were introduced to the character of Ivan Aycock. Ivan, who may have been unconventional compared to the other not so femme (Shane) and femme (everyone else) lesbians on Ilene Chaiken’s lesbian drama, definitely stood out. Ivan was unique not just because of his looks, but his story, his struggle, and his relationship with Kit.
Ivan eventually became a business partner and love interest for Kit Porter, played by Pam Grier (Jacky Brown). One of the most interesting things about Ivan was that he was played by veteran actress Kelly Lynch, who as it turns out, looks fantastic in a leather body suit as seen in Charlie’s Angels.
Lynch has stared in many movies including the afore mentioned Charlie’s Angles, Joe Somebody, and Roadhouse just to name a few. Lynch has also stared on the small screen playing the character Gloria Albright on Fox network’s Ally McBeal.
Lynch’s new project is a movie currently filming in Rhode Island called Normal Adolescent Behavior. The movie is being categorized as a dark comedic drama that looks at the “sexual politics of privileged and precocious teenagers.” The film also stars Amber Tamblyn (Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants) as Wendy, one of the main characters of the film.
Normal Adolescent Behavior was written by Broadway director Beth Schacter (Brave New World). Beth will be making her motion picture directorial debut. This is Beth’s second feature film writing credit. Her first was 2004’s Mei ren yi jiu.
The movie is currently filming with hopes of a release date later this year. We will release more details as they become available.
