but when he came to use with his top 50 characters, we just had
to run with it! It just goes to show how many characters we've seen
in the first 3 seasons!

#50 - Joyce Wischnia
She was witty, she appeared to be something of an activist in her
spare
time and has played a role, not once but twice in the deterioration
of
Bette and Tina's relationship. The first time around, it was while
representing Tina. That however went out the window as Joyce tried
unsuccessfully to seduce the then-pregnant Tina in a guest house.
The
second time around, it was while representing Bette, with Bette
looking to
take sole custody of Angelica from Tina. Through it all, Joyce retained
her rough edge charm and since of humor.
FanFic Potential - If anyone were to start up a legal drama type
of fic,
Joyce would be perfect for it. Otherwise, unless she's being hooked
up by
a 'shipper there isn't much else other than plot device. Still,
if an
excuse can be found to have her make a cameo, do it.
#49 - Charlotte Birch
Sadly, Charlotte's only real connection to the main cast was Jenny...which
may explain why she hasn't been heard from since Season 2. She was
there
to advance Jenny's writing abilities with her college course. The
other
known connections with characters were Jenny's fellow student, Hunter
as
well as Burr Connor, the closet gay actor. Charlotte represents
that
Untapped Character Potential category.
FanFic Potential - Probably not a popular idea, given the fandom's
neverending thirst for yet another Bette/Tina story or Alice/Dana
story,
etc. (not that there's anything wrong with that, mind you...) However,
if
you're one of those Fic types who's looking to think outside the
box a bit,
there's some pretty good potential with Charlotte and giving some
sort of
coda to whatever relationship developed, if any between her and
Hunter.
#48 - Francessca Wolff
Is she evil, or just written that way? Ever the seductress, Francessca
became part of the tangled mess that was Jenny/Marina in Season
1. With
Season 1 ending and Season 2 starting the way it did with Marina's
troubling departure, Francessca's character became an enigma of
sorts as
Francessca's whereabouts being unknown became lost in the flurry
of
departures in Season 2's premiere.
FanFic Potential - For those trying to figure out what really happened
with
Marina, the possibilities are endless. Francessca has a few question
marks
attached to her as to how and why Marina left and whether or not
Francessca
and Manfredi know of one another in any significant way.
#47 - Becky Haspel
Tim's wife made an appearance in the infamous Losing The Light
episode in
Season 3. Seemingly inoffensive and possibly a voice of reason to
Tim's
inner madness.
FanFic Potential - Not much, really unless something weird were
to happen
in your story.
#46 - Phoebe Sparkle
Ride the ship, get ridden by Phoebe. Phoebe appears to be the foremost
expert in all things concerning sex which kinda makes her appealing
right
off the bat. While known primarily to some fans for her slightly
hilarious
intimate scenes with Amy Ziff, for Phoebe it seemed to be about
living up
to a self made reputation, especially as she and Shane wind up not
getting
it on during the Olivia cruise.
FanFic Potential - Phoebe is the kind of character who provide
the catalyst
for a crazy turn of events with a sexual dynamic. Having her suddenly
set
up as an upper tier supporting character would be insane, but probably
make
for some great moments.
#45 - Dr. Farber
She's a Sex Doctor with a clown nose. What's not to like about
this
woman???
FanFic Potential - Like Phoebe, Dr. Farber is a character who could
provide
the catalyst for a crazy turn of events with a sexual dynamic. For
those
looking to shoot into a comedically sexual story, just think Phoebe/Farber.
#44 - Valerie Goins
Another of those great untapped potential characters. Her appearance
was
brief in Season 2 as she was in a relationship with Leigh. The
Leigh/Valerie relationship however ended almost as soon as it was
introduced and there's a great mystery there as to what factored
into that
breakup and if or how much Helena was involved in it.
FanFic Potential - Leigh/Valerie would be a fun story to tell,
especially
the breakup with Leigh winding up with Helena.
#43 - Marcus Allenwood
Without him, there may not be an Angelica. And he seems like a
nice guy.
FanFic Potential - Can't really think of anything major. For those
into
futuristic stories, there's always Marcus being the male role model
for a
young, but growing Angelica.
#42 - Veronica Bloom
Psy...chotic. But not without her charm. The maniacal film producer
served as Shane's boss in Season 2, but then she wound up in the
Land Of
The Dead Marios (the place where fictional characters fall off the
face of
the Earth to possibly not be seen again).
FanFic Potential - If nothing else, she'd make for a great cameo
given the
right circumstance.
#41 - Triple
Slim Daddy's ace sidekick provided for much comedic fodder during
his brief
run in Season 1. If he's remembered for nothing else, there'll always
be,
"And that...that's his white lady!"
FanFic Potential - Just imagine him moving into West Hollywood.
Hilarity
would be sure to ensue. Otherwise, he's a great component in the
event
you're interested in having Slim Daddy make a cameo. |
