It’s time for another exciting edition of the Countdown after some great feedback for the previous edition! If you have any suggestions for a Top 10 (which I’ll consider and list accordingly)’ by all means contact me at kace@l–word.com and y’never know…I might actually take your suggestion and run with it. Now’ a feedback to the feedback to the Top 10 characters I’d like to see return/stick around for Season 4.

snQQpy – Yeah’ Danny sucked big time. I think for all the hatred Candace’s character took from the TiBetters’ I always thought there was a nice quality about her and yes’ that relationship was goin’ downhill with a vengeance ’round the time Candace came into the picture. As for open mindedness…hey’ we all have our favorites so it’s all good.
klab1972 – Um…ditto the above. :–D
JaneC – I think Dylan’s #1 on quite a few lists if not mine. I really do hope that she and Helena can resolve things either way.
dmmjsm – Not so sure about Ivan going after Kit’ but havin’ her around would be cool so Ivan can at least give Angus some pointers. Come to think of it’ a conversation between those 2 would be rather intriguing.
shanerux – I didn’t like the way things ended either. Season 3’s ending left kind of a bad taste in my and I’m sure a lot of other people’s mouths.

Karang – Hey now’ y’never know…the writers could always bring Candace back to seduce Henry. … Okay’ that was just disturbing.
scaredkittie – Lenore was close to making the list’ but unfortunately I could only spotlight 10 for the Top 10. I tell what would be fun…a night out on the town involving Lenore and Peggy. Picture it in your mind and TRY not to be amused.
techgal – I dunno…considering Tina’s history (what little we’ve had to work with)’ I think this is the real Tina.
Gigi88 – Oh yes’ Marina fans are still rejoicing as I type this.
adicttosharmen – I doubt I’d be cryin’’ but it would suck if Carmen ain’t able to stick around for Season 4 (like…the whole Season).
lolita4life – Jenny and Max break up? Were they ever officially together? I know they’d bump uglies here and there’ but that’s about it.
Gemzo – We’re all getting through with coping. No Lara in Season 4 = me being bummed a lot.
molok – Hey’ that’s why we have FanFic! That way she can never die (like Heaven Can Wait for example…I am the MASTER of shameless self promotion’ yes I am!).
Deuce – I’d hate to think that Uta’s served her entire purpose’ though given Erica Cerra’s current work schedule; it may very well be so.
studbagel – I wouldn’t mind seeing Lenore again’ either. She and Peggy both add a nice sophisticated level of humor.
xSYx – Gabby almost made this list’ but Dylan won out for the last spot. Lis on the other hand…no. Don’t get me wrong’ if he ever shows up again’ it’d be cool just to see what he’s up to now.
Codie83 – I was talking with a friend of mine who’s a big fan of both L and QAF (never really cared for QAF myself to be honest) and he brought up the theory that maybe the Showtime people have some sorta clause for their shows in which Season 3 has to piss people off somehow. Lara has definitely not had enough development and I’m guessin’ that has a lot to do with LL Smith not being listed as one of the "Main" characters’ which is unfortunate.
IAmAlexM – Dax & Jenny? Drop the M for a D’ eh? Heheh. I think you might actually be on to something there. I have a feeling the Marina fans (and quite possibly the Robin fans) have a different opinion on that.

Top 10 Steamiest Couplings
This was not easy as I had to consider just the intimate stuff more than
the relationships themselves…otherwise this would be a much different
list. This Top 10 is a salute to the explosive chemistry that certain
characters just have when in that special moment together. No male/female
couples in this list’ by the way so for anyone upset about Tim or Henry
(pause for laughter……… pausing….. ……………… still
pausing……. okay then) or any other fellas not makin’ the list‚ you’re
more than welcome to leave yer feedback below. There were a couple of
different couples that just missed this list’ but I may give them an
honorable mention if they’re mentioned in feedback.
#10– Alice/Lara (Season 3)
They’re just getting started (hopefully) as Season 3 comes to an end. The
circumstances that brought these two together’ the death of Dana is indeed
tragic’ but once we get past that….damn they look good together!
#9– Bette/Candace (Season 1)
Well if you’re gonna cheat’ make it worthwhile and Bette certainly did that
in Season 1. How effective was Candace’s charm and abilities? Bette did
it with a prison wall’ just for Candace. Candace had the amazing ability
to assume control whenever the two were together and their hotel romp
during Limb From Limb is something to be remembered.
#8– Cherie/Shane (Seasons 1 & 3)
Got MILF? Let’s just ignore the storyline and consider the fun these two
characters had together in Season 1’ from neckin’ in the car to Shane
giving Cherie the "just fucked" look to some poolside fun in Season 3’ it’s
hard to deny that these two had a certain something together that can’t be
explained in mere words.
#7– Dana/Lara (Seasons 1 & 3)
The coupling that hooked me to L in the first place’ so why are they only
7th on this list? ’Cause they just looked so darn cute together! The
cuteness factor kinda counted against them being 1st’ but there were times
where they brought enough heat to light up a fading star. ’Sides’ ya just
can’t help but like a couple that’s willing to try stealth sex around
friends during a sleepover.
#6– Jenny/Marina (Season 1)
From the Pilot where they meet to the end of their relationship’ these two
were not afraid to go at each other full–on and all out. With Marina
expected to return in Season 4’ maybe it’s not over just yet! And it’s not
like Tim’s around to obstruct this time’ either.
#5– Alice/Uta (Season 3)
What happens when Lesbian Vampire FREEEEEEEEAK hooks up with a Lesbian
Vampirologist? Magic….with a little bondage. This coupling managed to
tap into something that had been discussed previously about Gabby’ which
was a hint of BDSM. To quote a Def Leppard song’ "Love Bites…love
bleeds."
#4– Dylan/Helena (Season 3)
The storyline is irrelevant…just watch the scenes. Even the mere simple
kisses had the ability to fog one’s glasses. I tell ya’ it’s doubtful any
tea I’ve ever had could as tasteful.
#3– Alice/Dana (Seasons 1 & 2)
From 4 AM to Whether You Fall’ anytime these two connected it was special.
Their occassional trysts during Dana’s relationship with Tonya became a
guilty pleasure among fans and continue to be talked about today’
especially their Finally moment where they went at it for quite a while.
Alice & Dana had the ability to combine sensuality’ sex and humour into one
awesome package. They roleplayed’ they used toys… I can’t think of much
that they didn’t do together and through it all’ I was entertained.
#2– Shane/Carmen (Seasons 2 & 3)
Don’t squeeze the Sharmen!!! Oh’ who am I kiddin’…go right ahead! Two
of their scenes in Season 2 alone pretty much garners them this spot on the
list’ including the first meeting between the two and their Season 2 Finale
romp where they realize their feelings and stop holding back. Season 3
provided more melodrama’ but they still had’ "It." Hopefully it’s not over
between these two.
#1– Bette/Tina (Seasons 1 & 2)
I gotta admit as someone who’s not the most hardcore Bette/Tina Shipper
that these two can do no wrong when together intimately. Every kiss’ every
touch’ every lick (including tongues at one point)’ every caress has always
been spot on with these two. Jennifer Beals and Laurel Holloman gave of
themselves while together on screen as Bette and Tina and if this were
football’ it could be said that at the end of every love scene (and even
that one disturbing love/fight scene in Limb From Limb) everything was left
on the field of play. If it’s over between these two then so be it’ but
damn…thanks for the memories left behind. But if it ain’t over (which I
hope it isn’t when it comes right down to it)’ then hopefully Season 4’ll
give us more chemistry with these two in a way that still compares with
their previous romps.
