Current cast members going to Chicago Gay Games for Closing Ceremony and L Word closing party ANNOUNCED: Pam Grier, Danielle Sea, and the newest cast member for Season 4 Marle Matlin.
The L Word Parties at the Gay Games
To celebrate the Gay Games, The L Word will be hosting a closing party
Sunday, July 23 at the House of Blues in Chicago. The Games will take place
in Chicago July 15 - 22, 2006.
BETTY will be performing with Danielle Sea, who plays Moira/Max. Sea's
partner, Bitch, will be the opening act at The L Word closing party.
Ilene Chaiken will be hosting the party. Several of the cast members will
attend the Closing Ceremony the day before on Saturday, July 22. Pam Grier
is confirmed. We we release names of additional cast members who will attend
as we receive them.
The Gay Games, modeled after the Olympics, began in 1982. The Games are held
every four years. Unlike the Olympics, any gay or lesbian athlete is invited
to be a participant in the sport of their choice. Of course, there will be
countless parties and concerts all week long, as the event has turned into
one of the biggest gay and lesbian events worldwide. There will be an
expected 12,000 participants and 60,000 attendees.
