L-WORD.COM FANS FEATURED ON DVD EXTRAS

The stories of six fans of The L Word are featured on the The L Word Complete Season 2 DVD in a segment titled "Fan Mail." Site founder, Jacky, opens the fan mail section with her story of how and why she opened L-word.com. The six site users whose stories are showcased on the DVD are:

With the DVD being released on Tuesday, October 25, reviews are starting to pour in.

The stories are about breakups, coming out to oneself, coming out to family, feeling comfortable in one's own skin. These stories show the impact The L Word had on these women and how the site developed and friendships and relationships were born--all because of "a TV show."

We'd also like to thank all of the people who make up this community who found each other because of a television program yet ended up forging such a wonderfully supportive, warm community. Recently, we launched The L Life.com to start offering additional areas such as Literature to help foster this community and make it grow even more. Our goal is to continue with both supporting the show at L-word.com and supporting our community at The L Life.com.
