CAST FOR NEW PILOT |

April 5, 2006 - Sarah Shahi has been cast in a one-hour television
pilot for the 2006-2007 season called Damages. The 20th Century
Fox Television drama is about "the pathology and personal hazards
lawyers face in juggling their career and personal lives."
In other words, it's another lawyer show. Shahi plays lawyer Jennifer
Carillo in Chicago. Kristen Lehman and Cole Hauser have also been
cast in the pilot. (In another "chart" connection, Lehman
appeared in Lie with Me [2006], a recently released Canadian
film starring Lauren Lee Smith, aka Lara.)
Damages is being written and produced by Jonathan Lisco
(writer for Jack and Bobby) and directed by Jon Amiel (The
Core, Sommersby).
Shahi is currently appearing in an NBC sitcom called Teachers,
a new show which seems doomed to its original six episodes given
the ratings and Shahi's jump to a new pilot. This also leaves L
Word fans wondering about the fate of Carmen in Season 4. Was being
dumped by Shane at the altar more than Shahi could stand? It would
be for most women. (Fox is also the network that picked up Erin
Daniels for the comedy pilot, Julie Reno: Bounty Hunter for
next season.)

Comments: oh gosh! its not like i dont want sarah to progress but i just want her to stay in The L word and do everything else side by side. i so hope she doesnt leave the L word. it would be really sad if she does. she is one of the reasons i watch the show. *fingers crossed*

Comments: I have caught two episodes of Teachers and it seems pretty bad so far, not from lack of effort on Sarah's part. If Sarah is not on next season I will be very tempted to stop watching, I think Carmen and Shane are great together and would love to see them work out their relationship. Shane needs her, and I need to see them together!

Comments: It's good to see Sarah progress but I really hope to see her back in the show. She and Shane (together) is the only reason why I watch the show. I actually watch S2 DVD more than 20 times just to see her scene with Shane. Without her, I guess I won't have the drive to watch the show.

Comments: Carmen's character is one of the only reasons I like to watch the L Word. She is hot and sexy, all fire, and passion. Shane's character has not idea how to treat a woman like this - either in the bedroom or in the streets. Which leads me to believe that Carmen must have known how insecure and incompetent Shane was from jump. Is it any wonder that Shane left Carmen at the altar? Carmen you knew in your heart of hearts that Shane was a loser, but you were hoping to change her, and now the selfish crack head has screwed you over.Call me chica, por favor... Comments: i am bitter sad for the show L word coz sarah will not regular appearing in the show. i love them both (shane/carmen) ive search a lot tru internet and they are the #1 fav couple of the lword fans. goodluck for her career, i wish she cud stay in lword... but dats her decision, were all fans here, the only thing we cud make is to support our idols. its a sad thing coz we cant manipulate their lives/careers. but i hope in they include the fans in their oversights what will be good for the show...tahts all
