| CYBILL SHEPHERD JOINS SEASON 4 CAST |
Showtime's The L Word has added Cybill Shepherd to its fourth season cast for appearances in 11 of the 12 eps. Shepherd's character, a married mother, will begin to question her sexuality . Shepherd will be playing the part of Bette Porter's boss. Porter is, of course, played by Jennifer Beals. In Season 4, Porter will begin a job as Dean of an Art College. Shepherd will play the President of the College. Rumors on discussion boards have speculated that Porter will become involved with her boss. In Season 3, the ever-popular "Bette and Tina" story ended with Bette's long term partner entering into a relationship with a man.
Shepherd had two hit series with Bruce Willis in "Moonlighting" in the 80's and then again with "Cybill," the CBS comedy that ran from 1995-98. She also will star in the independent film, Open Window, which premiered at January's Sundance Film Festival.

Comments: The TPTB will never listen to fans and we are the 1s that pay for this .This show has gone so way off it will never be fixed.My only hope is that the NEW haeds at showtime will listen to the fans that pay for showtime.And give us back the L-Word we know and LOVE!!!!!!

Comments: IC just does not get it. Tina & Bette are like the Romeo and Juliet of our current time. This love story is far reaching and she is missing out on the opportunity to leave a lasting impact. If the show does not change its course, her legency will read Missed Opportunity!!! I do hate IC and do not pretend to know the goings on by the scene but I know now the show seems clouded and dark without the love of Bette and Tina shining thru.

Comments: So Marlie Matlin plays an artist who is interested in Bette. Cybill Shepard is going to be Bettes boss, and maybe they will get together? Where is Tina during all this? And, do not tell me that they are going to leave her with Henry for the fourth season!!! Two great quests stars sure to bring lots of entertainment, BUT I STILL BELIEVE IN BETTE AND TINA!!!!!! Whew...ok, I am done. :)

Comments: Time for Bette to move on! I think Bette has more then paid for her sin, a whole entire seasons worth. Tired of seeing her grovel over Tina. Cybil Shepherd might be a little old these days, but move on please! I think Bette & Helena would be an awesome match! I wonder who would win in bed?

Comments: The last time that I saw Cybill on the oprah show ( and this was several years ago), she was being her typical charming very open and honest self, particularly about her sex life. She said that one of the thongs she had never done and regretted was not having sex with a woman. She was quick to add that she didn't consider her life over and that this was certainly something to consider. I wonder if she contacted the show or if any of the writers remembered her making that comment and thought she would add an interesting dynamic to the show. I really like Cybill and I don't want to accused of ageism but she is at least 15 years older than Jennifer Beals. I'm not sure that it is a good love match for the show, but I do hope that they give her a great story line. She has great comic timing.
