The L Word Cruise

November 4: Progresso, Mexico

Today was relaxation day--the only one of the trip. I was supposed to go to Chichen Itza, but I was exhausted, so I took a book and headed to deck six and found a lounge chair. There was NO one else around. I read; I slept; I looked at the gorgeous blue water. It was wonderful!

Had I wanted to, there was plenty to do on the ship. Olivia and Holland America provide non-stop activities and entertainments. Even the tv programming was special! They ran the Season 1 Premiere constantly, followed by one of the bonus features from the DVD. Another channel showed films from the Film Festival.

One of the coolest things about the cruise was that I was able to either find total solitude and relaxation, or I was able to find numerous activities--indoors or out, on land or on ship. I was very impressed with both Olivia and Holland America!
