The Gender Public Advocacy Coalition (GPAC)’s mission is to ensure that schools, communities, and workplaces are safe for everyone to learn, live together, and succeed - whether or not they meet expectations for masculinity and femininity. As a human rights organization, GPAC also promotes an understanding of the connection between discrimination based on gender stereotypes and sex, sexual orientation, age, race, and class.

On October 6, the GPAC is having their 3rd Annual Chicago Celebrity Cook-Off on October 6, 2007, which is called, “Ladies of The L Word” Cook-Off. For a price of $500 you can get a VIP Cook-Off and After-Party ticket that include: spending an evening with the “Ladies of the L word” while they are cooking; meeting celebrity chefs and sampling their cook-off dishes; access to heavy Hors d'oeuvres, Cocktails and Espresso Bar; silent Auction and raffle including exclusive getaways to Aspen and the Caribbean; and premium gift bags include Season 4 "L word" DVD set.
