The L Word and Olivia--Together Again

For the third time in three seasons, The L Word and Olivia Cruises and Resorts are teaming up. Olivia, whose clientele is lesbians, just announced that Ilene Chaiken and "Friends from the Show" will be appearing on the Western Caribbean cruise, January 29 - February 6, 2006.

Chaiken and members of the cast appeared on an Olivia Cruise in January 2004 when the show premiered on Showtime. In October of 2004, part of episode 10 of season 2, titled "Land Ahoy," was filmed on board

an Olivia cruise. Leisha Hailey, Erin Daniels, Katherine Moenning, Mia Kirshner, and Sarah Shahi were on board for approximately half of the cruise, filming almost non-stop. L-word.com was on board that cruise. Read the travelogue of that adventure.

During the Greek Isles cruise in June 2005, Olivia President Judy Dlugacz announced that there would be an "ongoing relationship" between Olivia and The L Word during Season 3. In recent months, Olivia signed endoresement contracts with pro golfer Rosie Jones and tennis legend Martina Navratilova. There is some speculation about whether the character of Dana, a tennis pro, will be "sponsored" by Olivia during Season 3.

Season 3 of The L Word is currently being filmed. No air date has been announced yet. Season 2 will be out on DVD October 25, 2005.
