 Episode Summary

#604: "Leaving Los Angeles"

Well, let's see what awaits this week.

Previously on The L Word, it's highlights! We get a Season 3 Dylan
flashback as part of the montage.

Showtime Presents...

Max and Tom hanging out at the Planet with Alice and Tasha. Jenny and
Shane show up and I guess we're all getting along now. Jenny refers to Max
as, "Mother To Be," and Max takes offense. Jenny, being a moron continues
to persist. Shane tries to quell Jenny, but Jenny...again is a moron. Max
leaves in disgust and Jenny is a moron. Max is in the bathroom, crying as
Tom checks on her. Tom hates everything, including Jenny. Yeah, defiantly
a theme.

Opening credits...and love and fruitcakes and maybe a side of mustard. Or
whatever. I admit, as much as I like the theme, it's even beginning to
grate my nerves now.

Back to the table as Bette and Tina have arrived. Jenny just had an
epiphany that William stole the negative. She goes over an insurance fraud
idea as Kelly arrives. Bette and Tina will be going to Nevada in the
morning to get their adoption on. Kelly is quickly introduced to the Group
Of Friends. Tina goes through the whole adoption and Alice already begins
to suspect with her eyes. Here comes Kit, who puts forth more info
including Bette almost killing herself in college over Kelly.
And...DYLAN'S HERE!!! Rejoice, my people! Tina has a meeting with a
filmmaker...who just happens to be Dylan. Tina feels set up. Yeah,
whatever, go to talk to her! And so Tina and Dylan go to talk...about
whatever.

Max and Tom arrive at some hotel place and Max feels a bit uncomfortable.
They're at the hotel for a Birth Class thing. Well, this should be fun.
The instructor comes over to help Max and Tom. And the instructor doesn't
appear too phased by Max's facial hair. Good for her.

Nightfall and Bette still has dinner with Kelly. They mention Provocations
from Season 1. Hey, they didn't forget it! They talk and talk and talk
about art and stuff.

Meanwhile, Tina and Dylan talk. Dylan's looking for a job and she's really
sorry for what happened in Season 3. Dylan now has nothing to lose and
mentions Helena as the love of her life. She's enlisting Tina's aid and
Tina plays goalie on Helena's behalf.

Back to Bette and Kelly and they talk and talk and talk. Kelly needs
Bette's help in terms of getting ahead in the art world. Bette recommends
herself for being hired by Kelly since she's now gone from CU. Well,
scratch that...Bette offers to be her partner.

Back to the Group of Friends where Helena's now there. Tina updates us on
Dylan's life, including being a filmmaker. Do Ask Do Tell Productions is
the name of Dylan's thing. Now they try to figure out who to fix Helena up
with. Tasha brings up Jamie from the previous episode. Since last
episode, Alice and Tasha hang started hanging out with her a bit. Alice
begins to call Jamie. Jamie wants to talk to Tasha real quick. Tasha gets
to laugh for whatever reason and it's just an excuse for me to adore her
laugh. Alice gets the phone again and brings up Helena. Jamie seems
interested if Alice's reaction is any indication.

I think I've died and gone to FanFic.

We get a Sunrise and that baby is moving.

Jenny introduces Shane to clutter clearing. Shane calls it what it is.
"Getting rid of my shit." Shane seems cool with Jenny getting rid of
whatever she wants. Jenny's a little disturbing. All things considered, I
think Tim got off lucky. Shane gets to pick something and Jenny rejects
the initial choice which reminds her of Marina. Nothing Shane picks will
suffice for Jenny. Shane walks off.

Next door, Tina's not okay with Bette business partnering with Kelly. Art
is Bette's passion. Hey, it's Season 1 Bette!

Back over to Jenny's where it's time to raid Shane's closet. It's a Wax
shirt from The Paige Era! Shane's cool with it being gone. Then something
from Cherie Jaffe Land. Then something from The Carmen Era and Shane just
can't bring herself to get rid of that one. Y'know, Jenny and Shane both
had something going with Carmen in Season 2. I'm just sayin'.

Airport, where Bette and Tina go over Kelly including Kit's mentioning of
Bette's near-suicide. Little Angelica's with 'em. Awww.

On to some other place, where Shane has lunch with Alice. So did Alice
lose her TV gig or what? Alice is all about Jamie and a big get-together.
But really, Alice is just all about Jamie. Then Jenny arrived, apparently
unannounced.

We're now in Nevada where the Happy Couple and Child arrive at the lady who
wants to give up her daughter for adoption. There seem to be some issues
with the lady's family. They talk for a bit about Tina's job and then this
dude shows up with a woman. I guess those are the parents of the pregnant
gal. I like how in L-Land, Budweiser doesn't exist. The parents are a bit
ignorant on the Two Mothers thing. They don't appear to be too familiar
with gay people. Things suddenly get a bit awkward 'til the daughter makes
the obvious clear. Daddy Dearest chases off the Happy Couple and so much
for those adoption plans. Ah, Bigotry...

Jamie hangs out with Alice and they talk and enjoy one another's company.
Jamie wants Alice to work at the Center, but Alice doesn't seem receptive,
though keeps things happy. Watching this, I keep thinking of the, "What
any other lesbian would do," line from a few episodes back.

Afternoon becomes Evening and we're partying at Hit Club...it's a Hit!!!
Sunset DJ's. It's Boys Night! Hooray, me for the male eye candy. Kit's
hanging out with the DJ and explains that Helena's off with friends in
terms of a fix up.

Speaking of which, everyone's at Alice's. Alice, Tasha, Helena and Jamie.
We get the formal introduction. They made Nutloaf.

*chuckle*

Boys Night continues and Max arrives. Tom's already there, talking with
guy. His name Gerard and Gerard senses danger. Kit's here to diffuse
things.

Tom's all melodramatic and Max isn't sure how to react to what's happening
to his body and the Mommy Parts. Kiss, hug. Next.

Back to Alice's now and Tasha's looking kinda hot here. Jamie wants kids
and Alice may want a lot. Helena has a couple of kids, who are with Winnie
in France. Helena perhaps ain't feelin' the vibe and decides to leave.
Alice walks Helena to the door and Jamie talks with Tasha. The
Helena/Jamie pairing will not be happening.

Helena's in her car and looks up Dylan's location. She spots her and here
we go! Helena wants Dylan to have dinner with her and says so, manically.
Well that was strange.

Jenny introduces Shane what's become of her bedroom, which is now an
office. Jenny's office. Shane doesn't seem happy about this as she liked
her bedroom and this was out of nowhere. Shane refers to this as, "the
Crazy Jenny Show." Shane wants Jenny to ask next time when it comes to
this stuff. Shane loves Jenny. But yeah...

Back to Alice's again, where Alice, Tasha and Jamie wash dishes and talk
and laugh and stuff. Jamie gets Alice to help out with something and Tasha
gets the Suspecting Eyes thing with Alice...and then gets drafted into
helping Alice and Jamie for their project thing.

Back to Hit Club...it's a Hit!!! Sunset and Kit talk.

The former garage studio in Jenny's backyard where Max and Tom arrive. Tom
isn't pissed, but tired. Tom doesn't like Max putting himself down. Max
takes off his clothes and artificial manhood. Tom watches through a
reflection momentarily. Aaaaand they sleep. But Tom has that distant look
going, which is never good.

Meanwhile, Angelica's listening to Godsmack or whatever, while Bette and
Tina try not to be dejected after what transpired today. Bette wants to
give up or at the very least isn't sure. There's a knock on the hotel door
and it's Marcy, the pregnant daughter. Lots of pregnancy on this show.
Marcy apologizes for what happened. Marcy doesn't care what her parents
think. She wants Bette and Tina to have the baby. She's really sure about
them. The other two couples Marcy met with were okay, but not as good as
Bette and Tina. Oh, it's a boy by the way. She thinks the Happy Couple
would be best to raise him so he can make the world a better place.
Nothing wrong with the Matriarchy argument. Heck, it did wonders the great
William Marston. Bette seems totally sure now.

Night becomes day.

Tina lays in bed with her eyes open and Bette finally wakes up. They're
happy. This loving scene is TiBette approved.

Max wakes up alone. Tom just ditched Max. Jeez, what a bastard.

Next week, things will get even more fun.
