Alice reluctantly continues her relationship with Lisa, whose affections are beginning to make her feel a bit crowded. Unbeknownst to Bette, Tina has decided to give birth at home and the lack of communication causes some friction. Tina admits that she has been feeling less than sure about Bette's level of devotion to her and reveals that she is "trying to focus on herself and not get scared about it". Kit prepares to go to the studio to film her music video with Slim Daddy. During rehearsals, Slim Daddy tries, futilely, to hit on Bette. He mistakenly assumes that Kit is gay as well and arranges for her to be groped by women in the video, a decision that makes Kit visibly uncomfortable. Alice attempts to draw Dana out of her funk over Lara and her parents' reaction to her coming out, by making a crank phone call to Dana's mother. When her mother calls back, she reveals that she has set Dana up on a blind date, with a guy. While reviewing pieces for the upcoming "Provocations" exhibit, Bette receives an anonymous flower delivery. A few days later, she arrives at the CAC to find it vandalized with stickers and slogans decrying the morality of the upcoming exhibit and learns from James that a well-known right-wing group is responsible. While leaving the museum, Bette is confronted by Fae Buckley, the head of said right-wing group who quickly chastises Bette both for her artistic sensibilities and her personal life, and reveals that she was the sender of the flowers. Shane has a hair appointment with Sherry Jaffe, yet another member of the Hollywood Power Circle. She is clearly enamored with both her haircut and Shane and requests a repeat performance. Shane quickly learns that Sherry has more than a haircut on her mind. They narrowly escape being discovered by Sherry's husband, Steve who expresses admiration for Shane's "talent". Jenny goes to dinner at Marina and Francesca's house. The situation quickly becomes tense when the couple tries to one-up each other with tales of their conquests. During a moment alone, Jenny confronts Marina on her seeming insensitivity to Jenny's emotions. Marina reveals that she does, in fact, have feelings for Jenny. Jenny responds with a passionate kiss, which is interrupted by Francesca whose condescension quickly takes its toll. Jenny leaves hastily but not before pitching the bottle of wine she brought into the ladies' sliding door. Tim invites Jenny to watch a movie with him. Sensing her uneasiness, he invites her to move closer, prompting Jenny to declare her love for him. They quickly begin kissing and end up having sex, after which Tim is remorseful. Jenny recounts her evening with Marina and Francesca and assures Tim that she will never see Marina again. Tim angrily tells Jenny that the manipulation and deceit the women exhibit is what Jenny has inherited and declares their relationship over. Dana's blind date with Andrew goes better than expected when she promptly dismisses him with the knowledge that she is a lesbian. Alice, however, is more than happy to pick up the slack, providing her the perfect opportunity to get rid of a jealous Lisa. Bette arrives late to a doctor's appointment to find Tina absent and
Dr. Wilson bearing the bad news that the fetus is no longer viable. Bette
quickly returns home to find a hysterical Tina. While attempting to comfort
her, Bette is distracted by a pounding from outside. She discovers two
protestors hammering a sign denouncing Bette as a pornographer into her
front lawn. Furious, she angrily declares that if Fae Buckley ever tries
